Need help to ID marks on a Kar98a

Well, I finally pick up a Kar98a, I am happy with it but I need some help with some of the marking. It is stamped “ERFURT-1917 and it all so have 1920 (if I am right, 1920 mean that it was kept in service after the war, right?) There are many Imperial marking and all numbers match. But their two marks which I can’t call. On the end of the bolt there are two marks (which I blown up) and a number on the top of the metal butt plate (S.B.15023.)Can anyone ID these marks?-thanks

Question SS Tunic Value

I’m considering purchasing my first SS Tunic and I need opinions from the experts. Does this look authentic? And if so, what would be the correct price range for this tunic? All opinions are greatly appreciated.

German Cross in gold cloth - opinions?

Purchased last year. It has a Feldgrau background so I assume it is either Heer or Waffen SS. There is a small hole in the central field and the gold wash has worn off the wreath. I think it is a good piece.

When did the Red Army/Soviet Army adopt…

...the ribbon bar method of displaying awards?

I am curious if such a ribbon bar is correct for use on a GPW era uniform? Was it used in lieu of displaying the medals, or in conjunction with the display of medals.

Was it only used on dress, or parade uniforms (which is what the photographic evidence tends to suggest)?

Any information is appreciated.

Some Gau Thuringen Goodies

It's fun when you can add like pieces to form a grouping. In my collection, I have a cased Gau Thuringen badge and have since added a cake server from the home of Fritz Sauckel along with a Gau plate given to the Alte Garde during their tour of the Gau in 1935. Also, a tinnie that was given with the plate. Hope you enjoy the pics!

NHSR turtle helmet

I thought I would show you all this helmet. Its a post war civil defence helmet for the National Hospital Service Reserve. I believe the NHSR was formed in 1945 and dispanded in 1952. Ive come across alot of turtle helmets but this is the first white painted NHSR example I have seen. I bought it from a car boot sale for £5. There are still some bargains out there!

Zeller’s photo thread

Hi,
I thought that it would be better to group all my pictures in a single thread instead of opening a new thread for each of them.
So from now on, I will post them here cool militaria

I'll start today with a nice shot of a GJ officer with a GJ canteen in sight. Equipment lovers will appreciate :)
