Found Cleaning out a relatives attic

I came across this bayonet while cleaning out a relatives attic that recently passed away. Can anyone tell me what kind of bayonet it is? The blade is marked: Siegfried Waffen E.Pack Sohne Solingen. Another loaded question: There is some surface pitting/ light rust on the blade cover rivets and some crud on the eagle's head base. Should I clean it up some, and if so, what should I use?

Thanks for looking and for the assistance.

Need help for 2 unkown german id tags

Hi there,

Let me introduce myself, I'm Pierre, I live in Belgium and have been metal detecting for the past 25 years in some Battle of the Bulge places.

Today I found these two ID tags with VERY UNCOMMUN markings. XXXVII. I found them in a woods near an old castle wich was occupied by the german in WWI , in Mai 1940, sometimes during the course of the war...and again during the Battle of the Bulge.

It appears that the smaller one was nailed onto something at some point...also the lone hole at the bottom of the other one seems to have been made by hand...probably in order to nail it also....after some thinking I came to the conclusion that those two tags were probably nailed on wooden crosses

I asked the owners of the castle if by any chance they had ever heard of some temporary cemetery in their woods in WW1 or WWII but they didn't know.

Could someone tell me if they are WW1 or WWII and what XXXVII stands for.

Thanks in advance

Pierre

Tornister Variations ?

Hi Everyone,
Chatting at the Saturday flea-market with another collector. I mentioned, I had a couple of tornisters, he asked what they were i.e. HJ, SA, Wehrmacht, SS, I had to say, I didn't know, like a idiot, I didn't ask him to explain further, the possible variations or how you identified the different ones. Only got to thinking it over a few hours later.
Asking now, could anyone say how you can differentiate between the various tornisters. I understand the SS tornisters have the rune stamp and possibly the Hj have their own stamp, but psychically were they different?, perhaps the HJ tornisters were smaller, or were there different strap layouts between SA and Wehrmacht tornisters? Looking at the two I have outwardly they look the same, inside one has a wooden frame, the other is without a frame. Does anyone have some information.
Regards
