Guy's. I thought I'd share this little gem that I picked up recently. It's a bit tired, and the decal is not crisp and clear, but it is a nice original un messed, un touched camo complete with a gorgeous chinstrap, I think this one reeks with character. I know Dave (scrooge) has seen it in person. And he loved it;)
There isn't a whole lot of camo left, but it has some terrific traces of light green all over.
I've tried to take the pictures in natural daylight to show it's true potential. (offers invited :D)

This is another one of my finds from a piece of land which was previously used by the army as a training area. Does anyone have any idea's on what type of bullet this is, I don't have any idea where to start :p

HELLO Everyone,
I had to abandon the proposed dig on the US Army supplies dumping ground planned for Saturday. A few members had hoped to be able to make it but couldnt and a pal who was going to come rang me and told me he couldnt make it, without metal detectors i would have been blind digging so decided to leave it for another time now. The following pictures represent a tiny amount of the many and varied finds that are coming out of the ground there, and will give an idea of the great condition of many of the finds. I have found aircraft engine valves, 40mm Bofors projectiles, aircraft rivet guns, burnt remains of tunics and brass tunic buttons, cartridge casings plus good load of unidentified stuff. The view photo is taken from the Luftwaffe bomb crater and the tree line is where most of the items are found, but who knows what lies beneath other parts of the field or surrounding fields as i havent looked in the others yet but the prognosis for more interestinf stuff looks very promising. hi, im all really new to this, ive just got 3 medals/badges handed down to me and i have no idea about one of them. ill get a picture up asap.
i have been all over the internet trying to find something that remotly looks like this but nothing so far.
its about 2 1/2 inches in diameter
screw back
plated on a gold "sun shaped backing"
it then has a yellow cirlcle in the middle with a blue SS emblem
then under the SS it was a wreath of oak leaves.
if anyone can explain anything about it to me it would be greatly appriciated!
