I thought that some of the members of this forum might like to see these. I nearly forgot my 20mm Solothurn Flak 38 Anti Aircraft round, so its added on as some extra pics.
As promised to Ade, here are some photos of my just purchased German army dagger. Made by Tiger of Solingen. My 1937 K98 bayonet in the background.
Hi all. I know that there are some very knowledgeable people out there and would like some help please. About 2 years ago I purchased an aircraft propeller that was recovered by divers /a diving club from Dorset just off the coast of Mupe Bay, itself on the Jurassic coast near Lulworth. It was quite corroded and I have now had it mirror polished and it sits in my living room.
Given the precision of the location from which the propeller was recovered I would be interested whether anyone has any suggestions as to which aircraft it comes from and which loss. I would also welcome information as to where I might find serial numbers or other identifiers to give further clues.
I will look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for any responses.
Thanks
Neil

As with the last lot I showed, these are also for sale and a friend wants to buy. I have asked him to join the forum, but he still hasn't, so please excuse all these questions on his behalf.
The Eagle and tabs look alright, but never having had any in hand it's difficult to be sure. Mark is wanting to concentrate solely on DAK items and being limited in the financial department, wants every purchase to be a good one. At least some one is listening when we always say ask first, then buy.:D Thanks for your help guys.

If any one could help me I would be most grateful. i was in Brittany in the forest at Paimpiont/ Brocilande and detected 9 bullet casings .
The casings have some markings on the base E on one side opposite side D then followed by 3 on one side and 5 on the other.
This is the only casing that is really clear, the other one as F onside and C on the other, cany see any numbers to distorted.
Its 155mm in length
Thanks Tony

With the Tarintino film there is a short seperate film lasts about 10 minutes of the german sniper in a tower picking off americans by the bucketload in black and white. This being the central theme of the main film.It is interesting in black and white ,you nearly think you are looking at a real ww2 footage. The amount of americans he kills is a bit to many, and strange the way they all pile on top of each other. HE IS WEARING A double decal M35 AND ITS INTERESTING THE WAY HE THROWS IT ONTO THE PILE OF SPENT BULLETS ,HAVE ANYOF YOU SEEN IT/
Heres my two great grandads, one of them was in the manchester rgt and the other kings liverpools, they both survived one was wounded twice and my other was captured whilst going over the top ,he was lucky to survive as he was a machine gunner and apparently they were hated by the germans, i am still trying to find out which battle he was captured in, heres a few pics of them both even a pic of my kings liverpool gg sat in his prison uniform at the pow camp, apparently he escaped a few times but kept getting lost in the black forest if i remember correctly, rgds Dave
