Feldpost

Guys,

These are to one bloke who appears to be in the same unit bt Feld Post number but three different stamps are shown one which is a letter stamp the other two compromise the FP number.

On an aside they are well written and my neigbour has got quite into reading them so I expect a summary soon (saves me struggling).

1918 Bulletin of the Experimental Dept Airplane Engineering Division USA

Just wanted to show a couple of these Confidential 1918 Bulletin of the Experimental Dept Airplane Engineering Division USA . These are really cool ( in my opinion ) . I have Vol. II No. 1,2,3 & 4 . They are 9" X 12" and about 100 pgs. each and cover tests done on plane parts . one covers the development of the USD-9A Day Bomber . The pages are glossy paper and each book has a registration number . There is a fold out drawing of the USD-9A that is 26" X 11" . Hope you enjoy the pictures !!

Question Third Reich Officers Iron Cross Paperweight

Hi,

I have the following what looks to be a paperweight. The date stamped on it is 1939. It was retrieved by a relative during the advancement on berlin and apparently came from a senior ranking german officers quarters. Has anybody got any info on this piece or seen anything like it before? Any info appreciated.

It seems like a large Iron Cross with the swastika in the middle and the eagle with the swastika on her claws. It seems very well crafted.

Thanks in advance
AL

Need help! First pattern tropical helmet follow up

Thanks friends, I successfully bid on and won the first pattern tropical helmet for $100 plus auction costs. It does not have the insignia and I want to pick up a set. The pin holes are visible on each side in a triangle pattern - two on top and one on the bottom. I assume then that it may have had Heer shields. Any idea on cost and availability of replacements and how to ID real ones? Neil H.
