Guys,
New today, bit of a shame as some clown has removed the rivets and the decals, perhaps in preparation of restoration job, who knows but it looks like it was a nice battle bowler before they messed with it.
On the plus side you get to see the original liner that people in their right mind don't often remove!
PS, does anyone have some spare original brass rivets, I doubt it but worth asking?
Jock:)
Guys,
Got the frame open so I thought I would post this as it is not brought out often.
Late war, as it was instituted late, zinc with a magnetic pin.
Photos with and without flash just to try and get the detail, it is amazing how different it looks in the light/flash.

I have this M35 on hold for me. I like it a lot and it looks like an honest, but weathered one to me. Any thoughts and opinions on it would be greatly appreciated.
Found me this 98/05 with double maker on the blade
Schubert & Salzer, Machinenfabrik, Chemnitz on one side and Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen-Foche on the other side.
I'm very proud :o

Just picked these up yesterday from a vet who knew the gentlemen the letters were sent from....The vet is also in possesion of his Purple Heart and various other medals/awards. I hope to go back this weekend and pick up the remainder of the lot.
The letters really put you there. He even talks about the war in Europe being pretty much over and eventually going to the Pacific once he has healed.
