Hey gang.....I currently have this dagger up for sale in the "for sale" section. A new member decided to post that he thought it was a fake....Anyways, communication went downhill REAL fast...perhaps I overreacted with his comments - perhaps he was unaware that we should start up a thread like this to discuss it instead of going full out and "smelling a fake" (or something like that).
SO - all that said - Here's an unmarked 1st pattern that I acquired from Paul H. over at Lakesidetrader a few years back. I have since added an original portepee that was also acquired from Paul.
If his description of the dagger is required - I still have it, along with his pics of the dagger. But, for now, I'll post what I have.
I'd like to know why someone would consider this a reproduction? :o(
Cheers!
Rob
Nice salty pair of Luftwaffe gaiters as used by Field Divisions .
They have brown and some black leather straps and are indicative of speedy manufacture ! They are still supple , one tear at a top edge , and interesting use of tartan blanket type wool on the lining of one ! They are however a pair and were found like this.
One black strap is RB n rd and looks as if it came off a tornister !
Hello,
may I have your opinion on this tab. it looks good for me but I am not sure at 100%...
Thank you in advance.

hello all,
just wanted to post some pictures of some real german items for auction/sale just recently. my friend in colorado went to this sale. this is the only picture he sent me but are are original as they were in the a Veterans Museum in Colo. he also said they was more items. WOW
I just picked up a dust cover for what I assume is a 7.7 mm arasaka rifle. I was able to slide it on except for approx. 1/4 inch. I can work the bolt and the cover slides back properly with the bolt when I work the action, but I can't get the bolt to fully close for firing. Before I try forcing it on the last 1/4 inch and possibly damage the cover or the rifle, I need to know if there is a difference between the dust cover for the 7.7 mm rifle and the dust cover for the 6.5 mm rifle or are they interchangeable ?
Thanks,
Vets Son
