Hi, this cross has been shown to me, but I am unable to find any others with the same hinge set up. Is this a period piece? Thank you.

Hello all,
i found this bayonet in a shed, a few years ago while on holiday at a friends house in Gurnsney, he was renting at the time..can i get some help to id it, the number 48289 is on the hand guard...i can't find any other markings, from end to end it is 500mm in length, the blade is in a T shape also i'd say it would clean up well, so what do i need for that job....

Is this a WWII US helmet?

Hi guys.
I need your fast help.
I just found a helmet on an auction site for only 5$.
I don,t know anything about american helmets, but i searched a little
It,s seems to me a US Vietnam helmet.
It,s just only one day until the end of auction and probably, i can get it for this low price.
Can you help me to decide what type of helmet is this?

UPDATE:Im nearly sure it,s an M1,but i don,t know what era.
