Here Kitty Kitty Kitty

Hi Guys! I picked this up at a flea market a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure its a German solder but I wanted the experts to verify.

Do you think that cat was a member of the NSDAP? :)

Thanks for looking!

SS Mein Kampf Oak Casket

Can someone please tell me if this looks to be authentic. The others I have seen on the net seem to compare fairly favourably. An estimation of value would also be greatly appreciated. The seller has no idea of value, but I don’t want to do him in either. The fact that the lid has come apart will detract from value?? Thank you very much.
Tom

Wanted: FRENCH NAPOLEONIC HELMET PLATE WANTED

I am looking for an original French Napoleonic helmet/shako etc plate. Can any Forum member help with details of dealers or auction houses in France who may handle this type of material?

Kind regards, Malcolm.

Sad News: Sgt Peter Boyle, Glider Pilot Pegasus Bridge & Arnhem

Hi Guys, I had some sad news last night. My parents called to tell me my friend Peter Boyle has died.

I had know Peter for 20 years. He was a real gentleman. I was priviledged to have know him and hear his story first hand. I will post more about him later in the week when I feel more like it...

RIP Peter.

Cheers, Ade.

Half an ss helmet?

On blue gray relics site there is an interesting ss helmet which is literally chopped in half.I think the guy is saying this happened in battle, but i have a sneaking feeling it was done after the war ,and somone cut it in half maybe to use the crown for a cooking utensil, and left the lower half with the decal to maybe hang on a wall? .The halfing of the helmet seemd to cleanly cut to have been battledamaged.Interested to hear what others think? It was further interesting to see bible quotes on his site,im not sure what that has to do with militaria collecting? The site is excelent, and he has some ww2 era photos on it of german soldiers and many relics for sale.

removing paint

hi guys, i have an m40 that was repainted and had a dry decal put on it a LOOOOONG time ago. there are a few spots where the paint has chipped a bit and i can see the original layer underneath. the paint under it looks great, so im curious to see the rest. it looks like it has the original liner band and chinstrap, but the liner itself is cheap reproduction.

my question is, how would i go about removing the paint without damaging the layer underneath? i cant find the answer anywhere. and ill be posting some pics later if i can get good detailed ones with my crap camera.

thanks,
mo

Help in identifying this medal…

I have no clue as to what this medal represents or where it is from.
( It was only $1.00 :D ) On the reverse is a motto: "RHAB EL KARMA"
in a semicircle from wing tip to wing tip....

Possibly fraternal or masonic?? Anyone have an idea?

Regards,

Steve.
