My latest find, well not my find but my dads friend found it in a skip, what he was doing in a skip I dont know but he found this and showed it to me. I’ve never seen anything like it before and I’m almost certain its a fake of something due to it not being that well made by the looks of things or possible and most likely a total fantasy item. Does anyone have any ideas on this item?

Nice size 13" X 10" plaque reflecting a helmeted head wearing a M-18 helmet - the plaque reads - 2nd Prize,Comradship Group, Police Officials,Ortsgroup Harburg, 13 - 9 - 41. The profile is also maker marked.
Police plaques/awards are not often found.

Here is a tunic with a nice history behind it. The tunic belongs to William Henley-Mooney, who joined the USAS in 1918 and was assigned to the British. LT Mooney was assigned to the 211 squadron, RAF, and flew the D.H.9 on bombing runs with the RAF.

LT Mooney, on 26 September 1918 was assigned DH9 # D565 for a bombing raid on Courtrai. During a running fight including a reported 40 enemy aircraft, LT Mooney was shot down in flames. He was able to land D565, and was captured by German troops. His observer LT Fair, MC was killed in the fight.

The uniform is a strange mustard yellow, different than other tunics I have seen. The wings are British made variants.

Here is my latest helmet, the MKII Cruise Visor.

Around 1915 Norway ordered 10 000 helmets from the UK.
Norway dident at that time have any helmets in their army.
When the MK helmets arrived, a few of them was delivered whit the Cruise visor.
My helmet is one of those.

Acording to the info i got, less then 2000 MKII helmets was equiped whit the Cruise visor.
I dont know of any other remaining example from Norway.

This is my holy grail in the Norwegian part of my collection.
