Question Nagant 91/30 Sniper used by the germans??
Ok so i have wondered about this for sometime....I have seen a few Mosin Nagant 91/30 Sniper rifles with waffenapt's on them an i remember hearing that they where captured and refinished and returned to service by German snipers.. is this true??
The M-1 Helmet Collectors Dream -or- Nightmare?
Here's a few pictures from the fabled Smith and Edwards lot in Salt Lake City, Utah USA. Many great helmets were found here including many marked WWII era 29th Division helmets. They're all gone now for the most part. Conquering hords of helmet collectors and rebuliders infested this lot like swarms of locusts leaving only the very worst helmets behind. But, at one time not so long ago it looked like this... :rolleyes:
Question WW1 Pension document?
I recieved this from my Grandfather who found it in an attic wth a few other personal love letters and things.. today is the first day i'v looked at it since i got it 6 years ago as he past away of lung cancer :weep:
I am not sure if it is real and that is what im posting it here for!
It entitles Augustus Carroll ( Private. Co. B. 144th regiment Illinois Infantry) to a payment of fifteen and a half dollars per month from December 1914 to nineteen dollars a month from Dec. 25 1918 and twenty-two and one half dollars per month starting on Dec. 25 1923..
This document is singed by the secretary of the interior? and is also stamped with their insignia and is dated in many ways but for what i can understand it was giving the this man on the 12 of february 1915 it has update peices on the inside witch proves raise of pention throughout the years..
i found this very interesting and would like to know more about it and if it is real!

I've been in Monte Casino last year and visited the polish cemetery.
On the occasion, i've bought a book about the battle and i was wondering if there was a decoration tha honor the soldiers envolved.
I discovered that there was a Monte Casino Cross, and after a search on the internet i've found this one.
Since i'm not a expert on polish items, i would appreciate your help about it's originality. I would like to purchase a real one.
