Socialist Pendant from Hungry….

Greetings,
I picked this up in a market in Hungary about ten years ago, and just found it again, it didn't cost a lot, and i liked the look of it..thare are 3 types of badges, bronze, silver and gold...i think it is some sort of award for industrial merit...i could be wrong. So if any one has any info, i would be glad to hear......

Thousands upon thousands of martyrs have heroically laid down their lives for the people; let us hold their banner high and march ahead along the path, crimson with their blood.

Question ???post-us civil war coastal artillary jacket??????

i found this jacket one day as i was driving to work, i saw it hanging in a tree at a yardsale. When i saw it from the road i thought it was a coastguard uniform, but as i got closer i relized it was a coastal artillary man's uniform jacket. Here is the thing though, i've looked the uniform completely over finding all sorts of clues on it. The button holes are hand stitched and so is the collar and cuffs. Inside the arms there was stamped the unit and on the other inside sleeve had the soldiers name. But is it real, or is it a really good repro for some re-enactor?

H.J. Armand w/”Signature” - Help Newbie Please

Hello to all from a first time poster,

Husband acquired this armband in a box of "stuff" which contained mostly US militaria (his interest). I always get to do the research on things of which he knows little. This is one of those. I’ve looked at a number of H.J. threads here, as well as from other Googled sources - enough to know that this is beyond me. :shok_yikes:

Length would be approximately 15" if not sewn; height is 4.25".
Is the armaband even "real"? Also, while I’ve now seen photos of a number of different "variations" (for wont of the correct term) of these armbands, I haven’t seen one with the signature-appearing name on the white portion - a photo shows this. Also shown is the faded portion on the insignia area which seems to have been caused by storage/exposure to sun in the glass specimen box.

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Lynne
