Hiya, here is a grouping to a lady named Mary Kinnings. She served in the ATS in Belgium in 1945 as a switchboard operator.
It is a nice complete group with her decorations and some insignia and personal items, along with her photo album.
Ade and I both think she added the France & Germany Star to the group herself! The ribbon bar does not have it nor does the photo of her wearing her medals on parade after the war. Naughty! :D
The Art deco fob watch is American made and is inscribed with her's and maybe her boyfriend's initials and the date: maybe he was a GI?
Cheers, Lez.
hi,
found a picture yesterday, showing my mothers grandfather in China. The picture was taken during the boxer-war. My mothers grandfather served there as a cavalaryman.
Hi everyone! Just bought a nice green Heer helmet and am curious whether or not you experts can tell whether or not these decals are authentic or replacements.
Let me know if you need more photos.
Thanks!

I made this a few years ago.It measures 7"x8.5" the helmet it would fit on would have to be 33" high, anybody got one.? :)
I have had this M43 field cap for a LONG time--7-10 years. I have never really did any investigating, but recently I started looking and I cannot find one with the same style eagle and separate cockade. I am also wanting to know what the wording on the inside means. Finally--anybody have an idea of value?? I think I paid around $100 for it years ago. Thanks and look forward to opinions and info! cool militaria
Hi guys,
I thought it might be interesting to run a little test here and hopefully show a very simple way to recognize fake SS discs. Have a look at the image below- it's a fake... but why? As I say, the reason is very simple and indisputable.
The marking reads:
SS- PZ. ERS. U. AUSB. ABT. 7
778
Here is an unissued civilian passport from '42', with instructions ( Merkblatt); thought you'd like to have a look. Best, Hal
My Xmas present from a friend who sadly passed away before I could ask him anything about the helmet. What is it,where did he get it....is it originally from France,Russia...?
It's quite heavy, very rusty, someone scratched some rust away and metal is thin on some places.
I'd like to keep as it is,a relic,is there anything I should do ?
Thank you for info,
Patrick
