One of the items in dads chest...
One of the items pop brought home from the war. I have pics of myself playing "army" wearing this helmet when i was 8 yrs old ( i am 53 now ) it was prob in Much better condition before I got hold of it ( and I played with it ALOT )
Here is my latest purchase, an enlisted man’s aluminum buckle with leather tab. Nothing exotic but it’s my first Heer buckle and wanted to share the pics. Nice pebbled aluminum with traces of green finish. Leather tab is marked "Gebr. Kugel & Fink, Ludenscheid" dated 1936.
I just picked up what I thought was a pretty decent ww2 USMC e.m.'s wool overcoat and just noticed some moth holes at the bottom of the coat. Can anyone tell me how I can repair this damage.
This is a tinnie I just picked up to add to my police related items. Apparently presented during Fire / Police Day held in Hammelburg in 1938. Nice crsip detail looks great with my other Police items. Enjoy, Al.
Just wanted to ask your opinions on this item. As you can see it is marked as being made in 1935. I think there is something missing on the locking strap, but otherwise a neat case. The helmet Tri-colour is something obviously added by original owner or someone at a later stage (post war). Any ideas of value in this condition? Thank you.
