Hi Guys, I thought this film footage was interesting to see, as these vehicles are rarely seen even in photographs. It shows the surrender of sPzJgAbt 512 to the US Army at Iserlohn in the Ruhr pocket on April 16th 1945.

Well I was out of town near Lancaster in a local junk shop, and stumbled upon a German belt buckle and a Japanese bayonet. I ended up getting them both for a total of $30. The Japanese bayonet was a box with all types of junk bayonets and reproductions, but it wast the least junkiest one there. here is why, it is coated in grease! Some spots show the metal below and it is REALLY GREAT! Basically the buckle is standard heer,and the bayonet seems to be a Type(Denko 15inch 3/4 blade). Lastly what can I use to remove the grease from the bayonet,without ruining it?

Next week 26th - 27th February 2010 the biggest military fair in Bavaria at Reichertshofen, 50 mins by train from Munich direction Ingolstadt . Anyone going ? I shall be there on Friday 26th. Good afternoon to all from the wilds of Minnesota. All this warm weather we've been having (a couple of degrees above freezing...) has me wanting to share a little bit of my Air Service insignia collection with the forum.

For the most part, it is centered around the Air Service during WWI. As you will quickly notice though, there are a handful of pieces that date to WWII. There's even an Imperial Air Service device in the lot. Can you spot it???

You will see many unusual & undocumented examples here. Of particular note is the insignia set located between the Captain's bars. Every piece, including the bars, is marked J.R. Gaunt, England.

I should also point out the unusual disc located in the 4th row, second from right. That is most likely a one-of, 'field made' piece. Strange to say it measures your standard dimensions for a collar disc (1").

Does any one have an idea about this anchor. It measures 1 inch in height and 5/8 inch wide. On the back are two posts for affixing to something?? It was with a group of german medals I have.

I came across a cartridge stamped 7.92 MM 42. Can anyone give me any info as regards country of origin, manufacturer etc.–also I’m assuming from the 42 that this is from WW2–Am I correct?

its a semi relic but there is more paint on it than the pics show,
