This was my first fixed bale I bought along time ago. The guy I bought it from said it was his friends, and the friend wore it in the CBI theater. The guy told me that the chin strap broke during the war so the friend replaced it with a british strap. Gary
I would like to know what do you think about this Winterschlacht, ring is marked 10, it's propably Förster & Barth, Pforzheim (?) and document, original or fake?
thanks for your help!
Although the origin of this unit was the 13th heavy tank company in the LAH it eventually evolved into the 101st (late 1943) and then into the 501st (late 1944) and became independent of the LAH. My question is would the soldiers in this unit wear 101 and subsequently 501 insignia on their shoulder boards reflecting the independent unit structure, or would they have contined to wear the LAH cyphers, from where the unit originated from?
If anyone knows any help would be appreciated.

Guys, thought you’d like to have a look. Best, Hal
I have bought a Civil Guard example of the M43- it is in excellent condition except for the outside of the magazine floorplate which is fairly heavily scratched and worn-is this common in this type? The floorplate serial no. matches the rest of the rifle-I thought it may be due to range practice use or knocking against metal items on the webbing harness of the Guardia.

This shell was given to me, but I cannot find info on it. Any idea what weapon it was used in? Was this made in Berndorf, Germany or Austria? Thanks.
