Guys, thought you’d like to have a look. Best, Hal
Hello guys, I need again your help identifying this blue cap. Is it a hitlerjugend cap or a fireman cap?
hiya guys
this little gem came up on eBay at a very reasonable buy it now offer it was sold as a Vietnam era generals helmet with star & cover. as you can see the liner is dated 27 sept 67 & is an airborne helmet which was never mentioned in his description all still in pretty good condition with the only blemish that seems to be some paint has been spilt on it ?????
it also comes with a duck hunter pattern camo cover which is unusual ?????
I have just aquired a couple of old German swords and I am having a problem finding any info or the value of this sword. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jim
Hi.
Here is my latest M1, delivered yesterday!:)
This lid has a front seam, the heat stamp ( which i am led to believe is unusual -986G as it's on the peak not in the helmet it's self!!)
The chinstraps are original, brass / black coated....and a little salty.
Remnants of rank on the front, the liner is a Firestone , with OD 3 HBT, which according to my research was produced somewhere between oct '43- november '44.:D
The down side is, shell has not got a lot of it's original finish left, and has been re -painted, maybe Korean issue, as most of this type seem to be! and i will have to buy a liner chinstrap and sweat band for it.
Anyway i'm well chuffed with it, and would appreciate your expert view's /comments on this one.:)
Over to you guys........
Thanks

I thought I'd post a picture of my best M40 and what is noticeable is the paint work.
see the way the paint has drifted on the crown!
I bought this knife as a ‘relic’. I tried restorate it and put a Hj diamond on it, but it was too big so I had to make place for it.
Just a nice display item. My question: Is it an original piece?
Thanks
Hi All
i have been collecting deac pistols for a about a year now and it is easy to pick up german auto pistols if not very expensive.
My question is the germans seem to have used any weapons that they came into contact with that were any good. but did they ever use revolvers?
and if they did what did they use or did they dislike the poor old revolver and why.
hope this is not a supid question.
Andy
