Here's some more helmet's from my collection, first set of 3 pic's An Austrian M-75 otherwise known as a Stahlhelm 1, and the next 2 pic's an Austrian M-58 or Stahlhelm 2, strange how the model catageries, are back to front!, i would have thought the M58 would be the Stahlhelm 1,etc.
A lot of people tend to buy these helmets, respray them to look like US M1's, i think they look great as they are.
Cheers

Hello all,
It was'nt long ago i had the pleasure of showing off my DAK tags i have found. This is a better photo of my M.G.8 tag that i found many months ago and i was over the moon:)
This was a very famous unit and they left behind many reminders of just how important they thought they were in the 1940's.There was a mosaic and a pond which contained the numeral 8 and many survivors were left here for 5 1/2 years:D

My friends have known for awhile about some of the American-type things I have, and they've thought it was all damn cool, my m1 helmet, the medal or two that I own, the pearl harbor newspaper clipping, but the SECOND that I told them that I owned a nazi armband, I casually told them on facebook, they all FREAKED OUT and started sending me hateful messages about how, if I'm a nazi, they can't be my friend anymore, and since I support nazis that I'm not going to have any friends anymore, they TOTALLY got the wrong idea. That doesn't even make any sense, why jump to conclusions like that? I just thought I would write it here among fellow collectors.
I just picked up what I believe is a M-43 NKVD border guards gymnasterka. If I am wrong please correct me. I am new to collecting uniforms so any help would be great.
Where would the stamp be? What is the proper way to store it? Does anybody know what the cloth badge means? NKVD seems very hard to research sometimes. Any reference pics would be great. Thanks for looking!
If you need more pics let me know.
Would enjoy hearing from any others that have original aviator diaries. I'm new to the forum but have enjoyed the wealth of information on here. I plan to share more as time allows.
I have several WWII aviator diaries: Dauntless dive bomber, B-24, B-17, B-29 (mentions smelling burning flesh at 10,000 feet during their bombing run over Tokyo). As far as WWI, I have one from the 27th aero squadron (mentioned in the Bilderback thread) as well as one from an American Naval observer who was part of the Northern Bombing Group. He flew with the RAC in Handley Pages and then flew the first American Night Bombing mission in a Caproni.
One other neat item is a Canadian soldier diary that makes brief mention of watching a big red hun plane shoot down one of their observer planes. Checking with the time that he notes and the location it is an easy confirmation that it was the Red Baron.

Hi, I bought this steel tank model in poland a few years ago. The plaque reads that it is a retierment gift to a Polish tank battalion commander in 1969. Anyone know what model tank it is?
I have researched this and as far as I can tell it is a one off!!
Anyone know more about it?????
The quality is amazing. The chassis and wheels are machined. The turret is welded and turns the running wheels have rubber around their edge. The whole thing is Nickel plated and weigths about 2 kg.
Hi
This poor holster was abused by someone ! Maybe he had no idea how valuable she is!?:weep:
There are maker marker "WaA101" & "nka 43" on her.But the belt loop was gone and got two slits instead. As I know she is authentic WWII one made for P38 or Hi-Power.Do you agree?
Does it still worth $100 US?
Is that possible to fix it?Or just leave her alone?
