Hello All,

CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Attached you will find photos of the obverse and reverse (in photo of reverses of other badges) of what I believe to be a known FAKE of the Spanish Legion Condor Wound Badge.

There is an outfit on-line called PiecesofHistory.com that is trying to pass them off as authentic Third Reich period items. Also, they've got NSFK, DDAC, and other scarce-to-rare, high-end, desirable badges posted. Virtually all of them look questionable.

It appears that the screw back plate has been "aged" via application of chemical agents to make it oxidize and have a nice, mildly crusty film form. The screw back is not "clam shell" or "pointed ray." It is smooth.

an unanswerable question. why was the British made Signals badge smaller than the Polish manufactured one ?

This is one of my better items, and hope I still fell that way when you all are done. ;) Wish I had the hanger and knot. Very mint with exception of two small cracks in the handle. Light yellow colored, small amount of gilt left on the emblem. Most of the cross grain still there. A nice luft dagger I think. What say ye?

On a serious note i am very curious , about the Name and S/N in this lid. I'm not sure how clear it is in the pic's, but it reads

I do know there is a vietnam vet turned author by this name, but maybe it's a Veeerrrryyy long shot if this is his lid!

Oh and by the way, i did not pay $8.95 for this lid, it came as part of the package! I wish i had only paid this amount!!:D

Hi.

This is a Genuine US M1 front seam heat stamp 984 J,but has been converted to D bales, and given a lick of paint.

The liner is created from a Belgium 1950's / Paratrooper chincup and straps , i know the webbing is the wrong colour but when it's on display, it don't notice that much.

I would love an original M2 liner to go with this one, but they are BIG bucks, way out of my price range!! :weep:

Have any of you made one of these radios? Foxhole radio - Bizarre Labs
I made one a long time ago but I failed, it was prior to internet and easy access to information. I did get some pops and clicks out of mine but I believe I was using the wrong type speaker. I'm gonna give it another shot I'll let you all know how it comes out. I think one of these radios would be great for a display. I'm not very technically oriented, that POW "coke" radio just blows me away with it's simple brilliance.
