7+50 U.S. Navy binos made by the Square D Company of New York, This set is in near mint condition as is the case. I havnt seen a binocular case like this one. It opens at both ends to allow you to have the binos inside the main case and use them, does this make sence, I hope so? . John
I am looking at this tag but I would like some second opinions before I part with my cash.
thanks in advance.
Came across this MkII helmet in a shop the other day along with a medics armband.
Goodmorning guys,
I found a Deutsches kreuz when buying an dagger. I've seen these decorations often on the internet. I have my doubts about this one so some comments would help! It is build up in 4 pieces.
thanks!

As of late I've been getting into documents. I picked up this one about three or so months ago.
In April 1919, the Polish government sent delegates to Paris to buy military supplies for the new country. Two letters were produced introducing them to the French government; one that went with the delegates to Paris and a second for the Polish archives. I have the Polish archival copy. :)
Unfortunately, it is only signed by the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (wouldn't it have been nice if it was actually signed by Pilsudski, Paderewski, et. al.?). I have been searching for the signatory, but have come up empty handed. Anyone know whose signature that is?
Cheers,
Brandon
Hey Guys,
I thought I might as well contribute now that I have the time and inclination to jump back into this maddening hobby.
I thought you might be interested in this VM 2nd class. It is hallmarked as pure silver using the French 'crab' mark and has two maker's marks for Arthus-Bertrand. I have written to them for more information, but only got confirmation that they produced it.
You'll be quick to note that the eagle is of the Kingdom period, not the IIRP. Also, the front and back are the same! Not quite sure why you would go through the trouble of producing two very well done enameled sides when you only need one.
If anyone, by any chance, has any information, I'm all ears (or eyes in this case)! :)
Cheers,
Brandon
Here are some pics of German dog-tag that my friend
dug near Stalingrad. I believe the inscription stands for:
1st Company Nachricten Abteilung 297 and the 33
would be the number of the individual soldier in that unit?
This unit was part of the 297 Inf. Div. and it was found
in the positions held by that division (southern part of
the "Kessel".)
How can I find out the individual soldiers name who
was issued this tag and what happened to him?
Tks,
Bob
I purchased this flag while in Russia in 1992. I really don't much of anything about it. Can anyone tell me:
- it's history
- it's value
- it's age
etc.....
Thanks.
Guys, I would like to show this group acquired from a local veteran. He told me he trimmed one badge because he liked the look of the German eagles. Best, Hal
