Royal Signals armband I recently got, with buttons rather than press studs found on later ones. I got a feeling that the stampings on the inside may be it's original date and a later re-issue stamp of 44'.
Any thoughts anyone.
I bought this many years ago with some other WWII badges. I have been told by a couple people that it is authentice, but I wanted to post it here and get some more opinions. The 'shiny' or glossy areas you see are from where I have put a little vasaline (petroleum jelly) as some people have told me that helps stop the spread of the corrosion or deterioration of the metal that has started. I have other badges from my collection listed in other threads: EK1, EK spanges, wound badges, tank badge, assault badge, German Cross, etc. Thanks in advance for your input! cool militaria
Here's a beautiful example of an issue cap that was never worn. It would be mint except for a few issues. The sweat shield is mostly gone and there's a moth hole in the rear, and a spot of grazing to the top.

I prefer to ship by USPS Express, both for domestic and foreign shipments. This form of shipping cost a little more but is the best method to track a package.
Note once I turn a package over to the post office it becomes your property. This means that you are responsible for all loss, damages, or missing packages. This is why I prefer to ship by Express Mail so you may track your item.
Note if a package comes up missing and you have not placed insurance on it you can only claim the basic $100.00 or in the case of foreign shipments the custom form will dictate the amount that the item is valued at. In other words if you list something at a value of $50.00 but you just paid $1,000.00 for it to lower your custom charge you are only able to claim a loss of $50.00. I do not guarantee any shipment and suggest the items be insured for their true value.
Hi all thought i would post a few picks of the ww2 bunkers on hartlepool beach.

This Dress Tunic is in overall excellent condition, that shows a little wear.
There are loops for one badge. There are two moth holes on the left sleeve and some mothing on the back near the collar (See Photo), also the bottom front button is missing. The rank pips on the shoulder boards are improper, they have been there for many years and can be easily removed . But overall it's a nice jacket in a hard to find branch piping.

The veterans family brought this helmet and some other items into my friends shop the other day.
It's a Quist late production non decal type. Looks to be in unused condition with 99% of the original factory applied paint remaining. Liner in nice shape too. Could only make out maker stamp on liner band "D.R.P." rest of stamping unreadable.
That's not rust on the right front, looks like some type of dried paint possibly. The helmet looks better in person, these photos don't do it justice.

Hi All
i have been trying to find out more about these for about a year or so now with little sucsess.
they are steel and the packet sayes vickers 30cal i know that most mgs use canvase belts so are these for air service?
are they ww1 or ww2?
i have found that some models of b17 the E & F had a 30cal in the ventral radio position even though the rest of the guns were 50cal. all of my books come up zero and i cant find any real info on the net although i have found picks on the web but with no more info than what is writen on the box.
so i am hoping the combined wisdom of the group can shed light.
i have three boxes = 30 links so i could make up a belt.
Any help would be fab.
