Just trying to keep things exciting, and running low on options. So, it's my panther sword for your review. Blade is bright, some gilt worn off handle, a few grip wires are loose.
Her ya go:
Finally i could take some pictures of my collection.
I mostly collect things i found myself with my detector.
Well hope u like it so far :P
He gents,
i dont have to many U.S blades. i thought i would share my M-3. she is not the bell of the ball, or in mint shape. it was field carried, and shows it's use. most of the grey phosphate finish is still on the blade, has some very light surface crud, it has not been cleand since it was brought home. still has dirt in the grooves on the grip.
it is made by imperial and marked on the blade. my understanding is this style was not made very long.
i also have a knuckle duster that i'm not familiar with as far as time frame of use. i'm sure its U.S but no markings on it that i can find, other than the numbers 110 stamped inside the knuckle 's. any help would be great.
thank you andrew
This is a troprical US Army Aviator tunic dating between 1926 and the mid 1930's. This tunic was made in the Philippines and has the M-1926 Wing and Prop configuration on the lapel and 1919 wing embroidered directly into the tunic. Nothing exceptional but just the same a tunic not often encountered.
This belonged to my father who was a US Army Paratrooper. Dad jumped over the Rhine and fought at Ardennes. He received 2 Purple hearts and was a bonafide hero in my opinion.
It has been around as long as I can remember but I have never had it authenticated. I have close up pictures for you to judge condition and authenticity. I have not seen any examples of this rivet variety in many searches of the internet. The pin is sloppy and does not stay in the hook. I suppose if it were clipped to very thick fabric, it would stay put. My father brought back a number of relics from the war and most have been lost or otherwise disposed of. This is the only remaining German Item, and it is not appreciated as much in our household as it might be by a collector. As such, I am willing to part with it.
Hello All,
Attached are photos of an SA DLV bullion cloth sleeve insignia.
This one I'm unsure of since the bullion has some age toning to it. However, I'm unfamiliar with this insignia.
The ones I've seen have an outer border of twisted bullion that this example does not exhibit. Maybe this is an earlier version?
Looks minty.
Thanks
Hi all,
Does anyone have any 303 Squadron documents with the 303 badge artwork that they could post?
I am looking for an accurate rendition of the squadron symbol so I can redraw it correctly for a cover graphic.
There are many such as this but I don't have an original (chance would be a fine thing :)) to compare it against.
Cheers :)
