Passport 1939-Katyn victim

Hi,

Thought of sharing this item here with you. Tragic and sad.

It is a passport, late 1939, 2 months before the war breaking out, used to travel to an International Medical Conference in Switzerland, returning back to Poland 1 month before the war broke out.
The holder was a well known Doctor: Sloninski Zygmunt.
During the war he was a major, and was murdered in 1940, Katyn.

beautiful P08 hardshell holster

This one came in with the P38 one. It is in the same fantastic conditions, as it belonged to an amazing private collection.
Most likely, this will fill the one in my collection, since I did not have one yet. Zeller

M1917A1 water cooled Browning machine gun

I hope you like these pictures of a Browning 1917A1 machine gun. This example is a WW2 manufactured gun made at Rock Island Arsenal, it has steel nose cap and trunnion, as opposed to brass on the WW1 guns. The ammo tin is the 30cal M1A1, which incorporates a catch to enable it to fix to the tripod.
Pete.

Wound badge Doc to SS Inf Regt 11

Attached is a Wound badge in black document i've had for a few years issued from a Reserve Hospital.

Not that interesting in itself but it was issued to a member of SS Infanterie Regt 11 for a wound suffered near Beresina in Russia on 6/7/1941.

SS Inf Regt 11 was at that time part of the Das Reich Divison but it only existed between 1/12/40 and November 1941 having previously been SS Totenkopf Standarte 11.

I'm sure other docs to this Regiment exist but i haven't seen any myself,

regards

Paul
