Hi there
I'm new to the forum and would appreciate some advice. I have located a police/ss sword with damascus finish. The finish is authentic looking and feel. The blade is marked 1938 on base of blade when handle/guard is removed. The police badge on grip is well set and doesn't look tampered with and the butt is an SS screw in. On the blade the SS logo is on obverse and on reverse a dedication "meinem treuen Kampfer Ludwig Dietsch H. Himmler." (with correct umlaut over 'a' in Kampfer). The mark is PD Luneschloss Solingen with apparently correct sword through helmet logo.
The quality appears high. Any advice? It has an authentic feel. Will try to upload pictures, having trouble at present. Feel free to comment.

Guys,
A few pics from the museum which is a private small collection built up over decades.
I have been a member for arround ten years sadly not contributing much time due to my previous job. It is located on the Schutzenplatz in the middle of a car park.
Some of the old boys were the opposition, indeed Adolf pictured showing his old wound was a tank commander (Panther) was sniped by a Russian woman at 600m. He called out the location as he fell wounded and they caught or killed her? I will ask him next week. He was impressed with her shooting and says he owes his life to the fact he was wearing his cap (pictured with hole and copy eagle? and ) pushed back in a non regulation fashion. Although at 600m I think it was just luck and not his day. I will post more photos when I get time. :D
Natuarly if you are in the parish please drop in andbring your camera. It is open Wednesdays from 1400-1700ish and Sataurdays same detail.
I must add due to theft many of the badges/headgear are copies to dress the uniforms.:) Despite that it is worth a visit!cool militaria
I'm looking for any photos of 16 Panz Div.
Especially from 1944-45.
Thanks for any help.
Pozdrawiam.
Paul.
Hi Guys, as I have a few of these in my possesion at the moment I thought that you might like to see them?
The first, although the condition is not briliant, is a fairly early one and is marked "MKb42 u. MP43".
The blueing on this (and all the others I will show is original) and in this case is just the same as you can observe on early MP38/40 submachine guns. It has a blue/slate grey look about it, where as some later ones are much more black in colour.
This one is made by "fxo" C.G.Haenel, Waffen- und Fahrradfabrik, Suhl
Cheers, Ade.
This is the last of 4 patches my father wore in WW2 that I have not yet collected. Any reasonable price will be considered so long as the patch is authentic.
It will be a bequest to my new baby granddaughter.
