I have a photograph taken by W. Berger in Ban St. Martin - Metz., France. The photo is in perfect condition. The wording at the bottom of the photo is "Zer Erinnerung an die Reserve-Ubond in Xete 1900 b.d.5. Corp. Jnt. Regt, 174."

My questions are . . . Is there any significance to this photo? If so, is it worth anything? Where would I find additional info about this photo, photographer, etc?

Hello !
i just acquire a ww2 Canadian steel helmet for 21$ my question or should i say my 3 question are
1:the color of the helmet now is a dark green but on some spot we can see brown paint it’s does not look like rust you will see by the picture that it had been repaint for sure so what was the original color of those helmet in 1941( as the marking is G.S.W. MK1 1941)

2:The liner inside with that round cork in the bottom is it original ? it looks so new ( cork part at least) the liner marking is 7 1/2 V.M.C.

And finally the screw on top and it’s a washer inside look too new to be period what were suppose to be there originaly ?
And i just realise that they have put on a us M1 chinstrap if i am not wrong
Should i leave it like that or try to take out some layer of paint?

I'm new to the forum but not new to militaria. I picked up up fist German helmet at a yardsale this weekend. Its a Luftschutz in great shape. German helmets are rare in my area. This one was a vet bring back and not messed with. It is 3 piece. Whats different about it is the rivets and the liner are different than my friends. If you look it has slotted rivets and a higher quality liner with a leather pad at the top of the helmet. There again all are original to the helmet and I didnt paid much for it. Any ideas from the experts on here. Is it early war? And who do you think made it? Heres some pictures:

My mother-in-law called and said a friend of hers was going to have an estate sale,and that they had some WWII items. She wanted to known if it was OK to give him my #. Silly question.The guy called me and I was able to go look at the items before the sale. We worked out a price . Christmass came early:D
