Medal ribbons
Hello All,
Can anyone recommend a good supplier of medal ribbons? I'm starting a small medal collection to supplement my main militaria collection, and to replace the fakes I've already bought in error before the forum helped me identify them as such. The fakes can act as stopgaps in the meantime.
I'm also looking for a supplier of matt spray paints in camo colours. My local auto shop has no suitable colours and nothing in matt, I'm thinking of re-spraying my disabled persons electric trike so I can blend in if I can get to a militaria show. Call me bonkers if you like but I enjoy a joke and it's something else to keep me occupied!

Real or Fake?

First of all, I wasn't sure which forum for correct for this posting. If this is an inappropriate category selection, my apologies for the error.
A friend of mine has an opportunity to purchase a small flag that is being sold as genuine, complete the with story that it's direct from a vet's estate. It measures approximately 15" x 13" and is equipped with cardboard corners and strings.
I think the flag looks suspect, although I don't know much at all about flags.
- The swastika appears in reverse on one side, which doesn't seem typical to me.
- The swastika doesn't appear to be perfectly formed.
- The swastika doesn't appear to be perfectly centered within the white circle.
- The material is very thin and seems to be of low quality
- The stitching on the seam is not perfect - even a wrinkle in the fabric was stitched over, as seen in the photos
Does anyone know for certain whether this flag is genuine? If so, can you tell me what the flag was used for? Thanks in advance!

How to Remove Tobacco Stains - Sword
Hi Everyone,
I've been offered this German Army Officer's Sword - 300 euro. I would take it, but the scabbard, sword guard, & portepee have tobacco stain. The portepee perhaps I can have dry cleaned, but how do I remove the stains from the metal parts or should I save my money. Any help appreciated.
