Does anybody know what this patch represents? I think it is German, but uncertain. Some other WW 2 German Naval emblems did not have a Hakenkreuz on them. Thanks

I have been offered the map case and eagle. I have never seen this eagle before. Eagle is silver wire.The guy said it is off a Luft Officers flight suit. Any thoughts on the map case. Any thoughts. Gary

Hi guys , a mate of mine is a mad buckle collector , we were talking the other night about these Penal Battilion Belt Buckles , i found a bit of info on another forum regarding these and there history . It seems the vast majority of input was of the opinion these battilons did not exist .It was stated that these buckles were produced shortly after the war ended , has anyone got any history on these buckles and evidence of the penal battilons , did they realy exist , cheers Raymond

Here is my latest treasure and I do not think I did bad on it even if the shell has been repainted. I don't believe it has been but I have not seen WWI camo like this before. It seems that the German camo of that time usually has a black edging. Anyway I found it at the local flea market for $15 so whether original or not I got a good deal for an original helmet shell. The green paint and a darker paint are sandy and there are places that are not painted that are the original gray green. Like I said I don't think the paint is fake but if it is the original is I'm sure still under it. Any information you can give is appreciated. I have never even held an original WWI German helmet, I sure never expected to find one at the local flea market for a good price.

I'm not too good on 'friendly forces' kit.

Is this in your opinion war time or post war, is it even US?

I can't find any marking inside or out as it is a bit rusty.

Its too late I've already bought it but it was cheap and chearful so no great loss if it's post war.
