Need help! parachute - fallschirmjager

Hello, I am new to this site.
I have a German parachute that I have been carrying around for many years. During WW 2 my grandmothers' sister had it shipped to her by a friend in the army when she heard that parachutes were made of silk. Because of war time rationing, women's "dainty things" were deteriorating and unable to be replaced. She was sorely disappointed when she received it and it was camouflaged. Even though she was the "wild" sister she didn't pursue making undergarments from the chute. It stayed in my grandmothers basement until she passed on. I found it there when we were cleaning the house out.
Any input would be appreciated. Particulary as to value. All I have done with it is store it. Would be nice to get it to someone who would appreciate it more.
The lines are cut off the canopy. There are several holes in the canopy but no tears. The metal box has some rust on the outside and three of the clamps are incomplete.

Another SA added to collection

Hey gang....I enjoy SA buckles because there are so many variants out there. I was able to acquire another that I did not have yet (different looking eagle). It's unreal how many different types of SA buckles there are. I think that goes to show just how many makers of SA buckles were out there (big and small) before the RZM started issuing licenses.

Anyhoot....I like the high eagle on this one. I'm sure I have seen this type before - but I didn't have one until now. I have no idea who the maker could be.

Cheers!

Rob

Need help! King Tiger restauration - help needed -

Hallo

I was in the Normandy and 2 weeks ago and meet a very interesting guy from Switzerland. We where talking about our hobby and he mentioned that he is currently restoring a King Tiger. I was like wtf  He is working in the Festungsmuseum and they have a lot of more tanks including a StugIII.

He told me that the Tiger is in a very nice condition outside, but inside most of the stuff is missing. The engine is there but they want to make this baby running again.

The team would need help in finding engine parts (mostly in russia)
and constuction drawings from the engine

Here are some pics and a link to the museum, rich member can apply to a membership and have a free ride with this Killer Tank

Here is the link index.html

Visor Cap ID help..pics

Hello-

I was hoping someone could help me ID this visor cap, I really don’t know much about these caps. This was past down to me from a cousin who served in the US Army during the mid 1960’s and was station in Germany. I believe it to be from 1939 – 1945, but I’m not sure. I have spent countless hours searching for pictures of it online with negative results. It is not for sale, but I would like to know what branch/unit/rank it may have been issues to or be from. All advice appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Maher

My first finds (well, 20 years ago)

About 20 years ago, I lived in Germany near a small battlefield. I had a small book written about the fight, so I tried to locate the main battle area and check it out with my detector. I found what I thought was the correct spot and started searching. After 30 minutes and not even finding a button, I was ready to go home and rethink my search.

However, before I left, on a whim, I stuck my detector inside the trunk of an old tree that had been cut down. I got a tone and brushed away the dirt and pulled out this:
