Experimental Archeology?

Hello all,
I was reading through the site this afternoon and noticed the threads regarding bulletholed items and that some of you suggested the possibility that they may be drilled/forged? It reminded me that about 15 years ago, before I had a chronograph, I was checking the power of one of my hunting air rifles after maintainance by taking a few shots at an enamel tin mug. The calibre was 5.56mm, similar to the holes in drago's coin. Out of curiousity I then buried and forgot about it. The thread encouraged me to go and dig it up. I've brushed off the loose dirt and enclose a couple of pictures.
I'm tempted to try the test on the range with various calibres of full bore rifle, but can't bring myself to ruin any of my steel helmet collection !
Please note; I'm not recommending anyone try this, the target was surrouded by sandbags, including over it because of the danger of richochetes.
Curious as ever,
navyman.

Remarkable find - RZM Licence Agreement

Stumbled on these for sale today and although not cheap, I had to have them. They were found in a house clearance in the Stuttgart area.

I have yet to find any information on Valentin Edelmann or the code M2/35 but as he was a sub-contractor, that's probably not surprising.

Has anyone else seen documents like these before?

Need help with buttons

I got these recently with a bunch of imperial German collar rank buttons but I am not sure what they are. The crown buttons are almost the size of a Sergeantenknöpfe and are marked EXTRA FEIN - common to many German military buttons. The S and 0 buttons are the size of a Gefreiterknopf and the makers mark of the S button is I.O.MAEDICKE BERLIN. Thanks in advance.

Waffen-SS Officer’s visor cap

My center piece in my collection is now in the bank vault.

I took these photos of it before I went to the bank.
Hopefully you aren't tired of it yet.

Question double decal luftwaffe helmet: is it original?

I am thinking about buying this helmet that was recently kicked off ebay. Can you tell from these rather horrible pictures, or by remembering the pictures on ebay, if the paint is original? Also, is $425 a reasonable price for this helmet? I know there are great fakes out there and I am relatively new to this field so your opinions are much appreciated.
thanks
Sam
