Hi can anyone tell me if this is genuine there are no makers mark on it, I haven't bought it yet, sorry about the pics.
Was wondering what you guys think i should do with this helmet, if i should remove the rust or leave it alone. I don't know if it all is rust because i never seen rust with rocks and minerals in it. And if i done restore it, i just want to remove some of it. It does not have to be all again because like most said it adds to the character and history of the item. Thanks
I think it's a rare Austrian Sturm truppen buckle. Any thoughts?
Here is a German waterbottle which is IMO damaged by mortar fire, the small needles like fragmentation usually made by mortar rounds.
Stopped at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago and bought a few pieces of US WWII military insignia. The guy I bought them from was the kid brother to the vet who brought them back. This fellow also told me about a holster he had that his brother sent home to him around 1945. Being a kid and not knowing that in another 50 years it could be worth something, he decided to cut it down to fit his toy six-shooter. As we all know real cowboys don't have flaps on their holsters!
Here are a couple of photos of the holster. I assume its German by the Schneider Brieg markings. But other than that I can't tell if it was for a Luger, Walther or some other pistol. Also I can not find a date on it. I collect primarily US, so my knowledge of the finer points of German collectibles is greatly lacking. I would appreciate any info!
Thanks in advance for the assistance!
Hi all. picked up a September 1941 dated handbook for the Nothover projector as issued to the home guard. Found it mixed in with a box of crime novels and cookery books at a car boot :D:D Does anyone have any ideas on value of such an item??:) Cheers.
Has anyone got any recommended reading on the above "all female squadron" that played havoc with the Germans in Russia.
Thanks
Nick
Hello, I found this part of Aluminum in South part of Poland and it is connected with The Battle of the Dukla Pass. I suppose it is a part of a radio equipment. Correct me if I'm wrong. On the Internet I found out the numbers and letters: 51976 dnz. 41 means that this is from the: Schwarzwaelder Apparate-Bauanstalt, August Schwer u. Soehne, Villingen. Length 32 cm, width 8 cm
