SA Buckles (Brass) Mobile Swastika

Hi guys, as a forum we have agreed to to start various fixed threads on the vast array SA (Sturm Abteilung) buckles. Please post any Brass SA buckles with the mobile Swastika. There are lots of variations of this buckle so this should be a great thread to look at and invaluable for the SA collector. I know Rob Lachance and David North are avid SA collectors so it looks promising, get posting

Maxim naidenov..caution

Hi all..
Has anyone had dealings with maxim naidenov..digger
from village sasnovitch, russia ..albeit he says he lives in murmansk..
I have sent him a lot of money for items i listed
( prematurely it seems ) on my thread, these include
ss chess trench art board, ss buckles, ss mess tin ,
well it seems he has previous history for ripping off diggers and collecters, and after repeated requests
for track number and post info..he has disappeared
not answering my emails, texts etc, while i hope i will get my items, its looking a tad shaky..so beware if offered any items from him..he is ,as of now unable to receive any payments rom western union ,moneygram
and unless i get my items , wil be reprted to police, here in uk and russia..perhaps some russian members know of him..any info would be great..seems this is not my month for bad news regarding relics
cheers

Waffen ss and wh in the contract cap

The contract cap is a pre war manufacture or just beginning of the war, a Reich command for all NCO and soldiers and all the WH-SS-LUFT branch.
The aspect of this kind of cap is simple : a orange color interior, with a regimental stamp under the sweatband, a "Trikot" wool, and a narrow piping color.

I post 2 contract caps here, with 2 different style about the wool, interior and piping very similar.
first a early Waffen ss grey cap with a very narrow pipe and black band, wool unusual, a kind of Grey Doeskin…
insignia skull Overhoff and late eagle in zink

The second cap is very similar, Trikot wool, narrow piping ( 1938 cap ) usual green band, alu insignias added in period.

this both is interesting for more reasons, the piping evolution in the III Reich era, manufacture, color and makers…

please, contribute with your pre war contract cap here, very interesting for our knowledge !

thanks for your time
Sebastien.

Any opinions?

Panzer Schirmmuetze restoring

Just restoring a cap to my friend as he ask to place back the sweadband which is fall due of age and mothings, so decided to not change or add any replacements and just put it back by fastening with thread. I use original period black thread 0,20 mm whic as you can see fastened to the original visor stitching, some places where stitching on visor was missed I fastened it trough original visor/hat holes, which was made by saving mashine ( that is a not easy step). So, the cap nothing lost after that light restorung, but get back the sweatband.
