I don't know if this is the right spot to post but I could use some help. Years ago I found a scrap book about a local pilot that was killed testing planes during WWII. In the clippings he was listed as one of " MacArthur's Aces". Has anyone ever heard of this group?
Lt. Hudson flew a Bell P-39 Airacobra in the Australian war theater. Lt. Hudson was a holder of the DFC and the Air medal, and was a participant in 100 combat missions. He went through the entire campaign at Buna, and also fought the Japs all around the northern coast of Australia early in the war.
Lt. Hudson died in a crash near Dayton Ohio not far from Wright field. I tried to find him on the list of U.S. ace's but could not find him listed . If this pilot was an ace he should be put on the list. Does anybody know how I could find out how meny planes he shot down ? I would like this man to get what is owed to him.
I recently found this item in a relatives house, who has died. i'm very curious about it as it has a british crown symbol on its base, with H9 under it. there is stamped, J.J.B more pronounced into the base. there are two other symbols. the item is brass and has a screw top, and it is hollow inside. I am curious as it found it in a very rural irish house, the house would be over 100yrs old.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this. also i hope i have the correct thread for this item.
