practice bomb

Hi guys purchased this U.S practice bomb last weekend at a flea market for $27 dollars and this U.S leather pilots cap which I do believe is WW2 for $10. Have not seen many of these bombs around and thought you guys would enjoy taking look at it. Any information would be great since this is not my main field of collecting.

Can anybody tell me what kind of helmet this is?

I have just bought this helmet, but am not very knowledable in US helmets. Any opinions would be welcome & appreciated! You can't tell from the scan, but the part that fits over the head is about half of a globe. I see no stamping, or writing - anywhere. I do not have a camera, just a scanner. Thanks!

Question Pre WWI Dress Bayonet Stag Handle Samoa Colony Coat of Arms

Can anyone tell me the retail value of this imperial bayonet, I picked up this dress bayonet, it has a stag grip, the blade is 14 1/2 inch long and 19 1/2 overall length and on the thick edge of the blade is marked Fita Lita Ahia Samoa 1912, at the top metal near the release button is the word "Samoa" pic of Eagle and 3 Palm trees, which was the coat of arms the germans had for Samoa!! it also has a number 23 on it. During the Colonial period Germany had the colony of Samoa 1900-1920. The word Ahia refers to the German capital of the Samoa Colony. I understand that in Tom Johnsons Dagger book has some info on colonial daggers, could anyone post it or e-mail info on this obscure bayonet markings?

For sale: M40 No Decal Q64

This is a field re-paint with the majority of the thick texture paint remaining and there's no dents in the shell. Someone put a leather treatment on the liner some time ago and part of the chin strap remains.
These non decal helmets are getting harder to find as many were enhanced with fake decals over the years. Overall a nice combat veteran.

My Great Grandfathers Service Booklet

Very recently I was involved in the demolition of my Grandfathers shed, being quite a big shed, there was a lot of boxes and in one of them in an envelope was my Great Grandfathers service booklet, it was the first time my Grandad had ever seen it so it was a suprise and a bit of a shock to him  . He had a small look through it, and wrote a few things down that were in it. Then suprisingly he gave it to me saying that my Great Grandfather would have wanted me to have it, even though he died before I was born. Its quite strange because the only things that I have from both my Great Grandfathers are military, the other gave me a hollow Mill's bomb :D which I still have!
I'll put up some pictures soon if anyone is interested in them.
I was also hoping to do a little bit of research on him, theres a family rumour that he was awarded the DCM, but I have no idea finding out if this is true or not. So if anyone has any ideas, can you let me know.

Thanks

Danny
