i do not know if this is the place to ask (if not; mods, please delete or move), but i got this medal like 20 years ago as a kid together with some other medals from my grandfather

i never knew if they were real or not...
if somebody could help me out, that would be great!

My MP 40 isnt in best condition anymore,(allmost all finish has gone), but I like it anyway ,because it has an interesting story behind.

Somewhere, (cant remember where), some time ago, I read that MP's with red grips are rare. Is it true? Or it is just rumors?

Maybe some of you ,dear friend collectors, know more about it.

Ill be gratefull for every answer!

Buy or not? As I newer owned myself original early tabs made in non aluminum thread, I would like to hear proffesional opinions about that one.
So here is the tab, with proper early backing and piping like I have seen on the early NSKK high officers tabs, the bullion thread looks like some kind of brass, instead of aluminum.
I would hear thoughts about...
