PS; Added a finished armband for comparison.
Hi all,
I wanted to get your impressions of the card design I made recently. Though I am not a militaria dealer, I thought it would be neat to pass these out at shows, and also to non-militaria related business contacts. I gave one to a fellow who gave me an estimate on house leveling yesterday, and he thought it was really cool. It seems to have the intended effect as he immediately started asking me about my interest...never know when passing one of these out might lead to my next aviation trunk grouping.
I designed the cards from scratch and the layout of photos and text is from my own imagination (a very scary place sometimes). I also printed them myself to save on professional printing costs. I purchased the domain name in the title of the card, and plan one day to open an on-line museum where other WWI collectors can featured attributed groupings.
OK, here's where I admit that I don't know anything. Case in point, this sword. First is it even the real deal? Next, I was told it's NCO so, is it? Any help would be appreciated.
Guys this is part of a CBI group from a local estate, thought you'd like to have a look. Regards, Hal
Gentlemen,
I just bought these photos of two soviet soldiers.
The first one has some handwriting behind. It catched my attention because the man is smiling but still seems to have a deep sadness in his face. He looks to be wearing two bravery? medals, apart from the Guards badge.
The second photo is a portrait of another soldier, which has an Order of the Red Star, a Victory over Germany medal, a Capture of Berlin medal and finally a 30 years of the Soviet Army anniversary medal. However, there is an order on his left pocket flap that I don´t get to grasp. Maybe the medal experts can tell what award it is.
Regards,
Gus
Can someone tell me what model is this overcoat?. M 27 or M 41? The collar tabs were, it seems, never sewn on the collar.
