Hello
I need to know what kind of helmet this is. I am thinking it is a soviet Ssh40 from around the WWII era. There are several marking inside the helmet. First there is a number engraved inside near the back it is 1--1852. Then right by that number there is a number that is stamped on, it is 975. Near the side of the helmet there is a faint stamp of a star. Laslty near the crown of the helmet there is a stamp K-7. I would really like to know exact year it is. Or if somone just knows if its WWII era or post war. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank-you
What do you guys think of this late-war steel SS buckle. Looks like an unmarked O&C.
Best Regards,
Mike
Hey guys....as you well know - I'm always looking for buckle variants to add to the collection and what I like about this one (landed yesterday) is the construction on the back....it's an injection molded buckle made by R.S.S. (Richard Sieper and son).
Added bonus to acquiring this one was that I have another buckle that is identical but it has been de-nazified - but in a very professional manner. You can't even tell what the buckle was in its "previous life". Quite neat to see just how well these could be modified.
Here are some pics for you!
Cheers!
Rob

This unifrorm was obtained from a U S Army veteran in Texas in the early 1980's by veteran motel buyer Jeff Roth. The tunic and breeches are a matching set by the same tailor. Hildebrandt wa the head of the Race and Resettlement Office. Late in the war, he was given a military command on the Souteast Russian Front where he was awarded the IC II Spange and IC 1st Class. This uniform indicates his position as a Waffen SS commander. An earlier uniform with police green underlay turned up in early 2008.

This uniform arrived yesterday. What medals would go with this uniform? What Foreign medals would he have received. This uniform was definately worn as ther are laundry tags on the shirt, jacket and pants. The badges on the side without the shoulder cords were put there by me. They are all I have.
