Guys
Would just like to say what a fantastic and truly informative forum this is. I have been fascinated with the Wehrmacht since I was a boy..you know always the German when playing war, only one with Action Man constantly in a German uniform, always rooting for the Germans in war films, all my plastic models ..yes you guessed it German!
My garage ( which my wife refers to as the "bunker") is awash with hundreds of books on the subject. I have also a small medal collection of around 40 medals.
I thought I had more knowledge than most but after reading your threads etc I am still a novice but thanks to you guys still learning loads!
Keep it going strong and hopefully I will contribute soon!

Hi !
Wanna show you this Aluminium Belt-Buckle of the Wehrmacht-Heer, maker: Dr. Franke & Cie. KG.
Belt and buckle are heavy-worn, but inside you can see the original painting.
It´s an "honest" item and I hope, you like it too ...
Cheers,
R.
Hi !
Wanna show you this, (not really common ...), obituary.
It was a part of the legacy of a died vet of the Schutz-Staffel.
The son of the vet sold me also some other stuff ... ;)
Rgds.,

1st, i want to say great forum here. im going to put up a few pics of a few things ive just gotten. and here is the basic story. these items were in my grandmothers basement. i remember them clearly as a child 35 years ago. well, she finally passed them on to my father, and he onto me. The basic story i was told was my grandfather was involved in some kind of securing of a "field office" and took these things. I was initially interested in selling the items as i have no real use for them, and i knew a collector could possibly appreciate them. Of course i have no definitive proff of the origin, but that is what i know. the box measures 18x16x5. i dont know what it was used for. its hinged and has a strap. the hinges are damaged, but it still functions fine. there used to be a leather handle, that had a lock incorporated into it, but it must have deteriorated and gotten misplaced. anyway, heres the pics. lets hear it!!! and thanks in advance!
