This is an example of the standard NSDAP gorget worn by the standarte bearer and honor guard. This piece is the pattern piece from the firm Eugen Schmidhaussler, located in Pforzheim. The firm is identified by it's RZM code of M1/128. The gorget has affixed to it control tags from the RZM along with an identification number stamped on an aluminum disc. Upon approval, one copy of the work would be retained in the warehouses of the RZM in Munich and a second returned as an approved sample for fabrication.
Hi Guys, a comrade who does living history with me has asked for some help and I said I would ask here.
He would like to know the size of the cloth backing to the star used on both the WW2 summer Panama style hat and the winter Budenovka.
Thanks.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi all , just a few pics of my SA dagger . I really love the medievel shape of these daggers , a great showoff piece !!:) Anyway this one is by Ernst Bruckmann , and is quite a rare maker of these rating a 10 on the "mcsarr" , which i believe comes in as less than a thousand manufactured . It`s Gau stamping ( Ho ) on the cross guard is also quite unusual being stamped to one side and not centrally , hope you like it
cheers Al
I just purchased these three cloth insignias. They appear to me to be 1942 pattern breast eagle and a Late war shirt and lightweight tunic breast eagle unissued condition. I'm not very good with spotting fake cloth insignias so I figured I would run them by everyone.
Thanks :)
Does anyone have any photos of General Kurt Hammerstein-Equord. Just about all of the photos I have seen of him were posed photos or studio shots. I would like to see some photos of him in the mid 1930's and maybe even WWI if thats possible.
Thanks!cool militaria
