Enclosed grouping including SS 8 year medal, i've got a new camera now so i can start to throw a few thing into the debate!

Always interests me which medals are seen with others in a grouping, any others out there with an 8 year?

Flag inquiry?

I was not sure where to post this, but I wanted to get your thoughts on these two flags. There is a local auction here in Georgia coming up from an old ladies estate and these are listed. I am not too sure about them and exactly what markings they are and what would be there value on bidding, maybe even if the first is even worth bidding (Looks really crummy) but here are the pictures - The listing for the first states - Early Nazi flag 68in x 86 in
second is just -
Early Nazi flag.

Any help on ID'ing them and possibly some sort of value would be appreciated if you don't mind. Thank you.

Police Sleeve Eagles

New items posted, Craigs list;California, Palm Springs

WWII German Police NCO Sleeve Eagle(s) - $75 (La Quinta)

$75 each, $140 for two, or $200 for all three. These three, 100% original, Nazi Police Sleeve Eagles were acquired in Germany by my father near the end of WWII (circa early 1945). He brought them home in his footlocker, along with other memorabilia. They show absolutely no nap wear, fraying or needle damage. The colors remain unfaded, and any signs of age or use are so negligible that they might have been embroidered only last month.

All of the detailing is done in green cotton truppenfarbe (branch-of-service color) except for the swastika and the eagle's eye, which use black thread. The field color of the cut-out oval base is blue.

Tell them Ben sent you.

I had a college friend who told me his grandmother's sister, mother (or something to that extent) and her family were murdered in their apartments toward the end of the war. He said they were in hiding in an apartment and that the Nazis drilled a whole in the apartment ceiling (above where they were) and poued in Zyklon B.

Has anyone heard of this? Or anything like it? Is it even probable?

I consider myself well versed on the war/ the Holocaust and the two things that point out to me is the effort/end of the war paradox. First off, toward the end of the war the last thing the Nazis cared about in Poland were a few stray Jewish people hiding. Second, it takes a whole lot of effort carrying around Zyklon B in your truck, drill a hole in the wall, and pour it in safely. I feel like they'd just burn the apartment down before they did that, since they weren't so fond of Poles, either.

To be fair, I broke off my friendship with this boy because he was a total exaggerator and compulsive liar. A major "lie" I counted against him was this--the rest was him just wanting a pity party for a non existent finical issue, or inflating his accomplishments to a ludicrous level. (Rather minor, in the long run.) I'm wondering now if there is a shadow he was telling the truth about this Holocaust story. If he wasn't, I'm just going to conclude he's a sick person to make up a story like this for attention, and likely has some psychological issues. And probably eventually confront him, since stunts like his fuel Holocaust denial.

opinion on a visor

need some opinions on this visor, It's salty no doubt, but does the eagle look a little strange, not sure if it's the pic or is there possibly a shadow around the eagle. What branch of service is it and does it look original. Sorry for the small pics.

thank you

just a few of my favourite relics :)

Hi all,

Just a few piccies of some of my most treasured relics .. I've gained quite a bit of stuff over the years ..

so heres some of my relics , and just what or how i display them (ie the box frames)

The first pic is of a set of Valves from different aircraft, from Left to right.. P51 Mustang, Messerschmitt 110 (shot down by P51 USAAF ,and crashed in the Harz Mountains Germany,Belonged to ZG26),Bristol Bulldog (bi-plane fighter 1930s) ,Junkers 87 Stuka shot down on the Tangmere raid, and lastly Avro Anson..

Picture 2 is My total Love.. This is what i do with relics when i find them if i can, and if they are really interesting to me, this is my little display corner. I really really enjoy making up these box frames, and think they make the pieces come alive.. ;)
Hope you like em, I just wanted to post something as a introduction.
