Greetings Gents
I am new to the forum..although I see alot of familiar names here :)
I collect HJ and DJ buckles exclusively. I am happy to join here as I have been dissapointed with the direction the other forum that I mainly participate in is heading. Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and that I look forward to participating and hopefully making some new friends.
thanks
Chad
Are there data and ID plate (typenschild) collectors out there?
This plate came from an airplane that was used at the Luftwaffe flight test center at Rechlin. It was found in the attic of an old house in Germany this year.
This is my first Infanterie Sturmabzeichen. It was a good price for a first example. There is no makers mark visible and the bottom clasp looks strange. Any help would be great.
I have a party tunic that was part of the collection of Lt. Wm. Frank Lambeth, A company 81st Chemical Mortar Battalion. I have the collection on this site under the collections section. I need information on this tunic so I thought I would post it here also. I hope that is alright. Tunic is made in Saarbrucken and has a name A Dolwet or Dolwot and the place, Merzig. The 81st was stationed in Merzig so I am sure this is where Lambeth got the tunic. My question is: Is there a way to find out what rank this tunic was so that I can replace the insignia and medals? It would be even more interesting if information could be found on the individual but I won't hope for too much. There are loops above the pocket, on the pocket, and below the pocket. There is no piping on the collar.
thanks
Sam

First of all if this is right or wrong i'm no too bothered as i cost me next to nothing ,but i do like it.But what is it? It's approx 19 & 1/4 inches in length,i think the metal fitting are silver. To the center it is engraved J C H 1934.i think it is too small too be any sort of swagger stick or cane, someone has said they thought it may be a bands mans conductors baton, any ideas.........Thanks Rob
A honest old man from neibherhood ,who gave me this think(dont know the wright name so I call it fuse protector),have this as a memory on air raid, he saw himself as a young boy in late 1943.
He said that there was only one plain action.Suddenly atack with only one big bomb unknow big plain failed railway bridge and immedeately desapere.Bomb was exploded in nearest forrest and he was taken this protector as a souvenir, now it is in my collection.
I think it is British but not shure.I have no idea to what kind of bomb it belong.
Maybe someone of you ,dear experts collectors ,know more abut this thinks.
Ill be gratefull for every comment.
Cheers
Alois
