Just found out I had thise one among my M16's but there is one probleme ;there is no rivet or a hole where the "91" chin strap should be attached. It also have got two more holes on the side; compared to a M 16.
What kind of helmet would thise then be .
The nipples for the panzer plate have been closed, but thise seems to have been done post war.
Hi, I was going to maybe buy this for my collection. I was told by seller it was found in Russia. What is this unit and markings? is this from a soldat who might have been in the eastern front?
Is this a well know SS force? There is a an A stamped on back, I think this is for the blood type?
This my first German dog tag, and wanted to get a fairly nice one.
Regards, Steve

Hi, I'm adam, i live in spain, I'm 20 years, and started collecting two years ago. I like to collect all kind of documents, photos and any other paper item.
I made this thread, because i'd like to know, from experienced collectors, which militaria dealers do you think are the best, or maybe which one you like most or think is the most reliable, and if exist, which one could be more appropriate to me, as being a relatively young collector and having not big but fair budget. (excluding Ebay).
Thanks a lot and sorry if I posted in wrong topic.

I bought this along with the French Percussion pistol and have heard of them but have never handled one. This one appears to be pre war but I don't know for certain. Any help is appreciated!
Gary
I need help identifying this particular pistol. All of my reference books for these old pistols are still out of reach in a huge pile of boxes. Many thanks for the help!
While continueing my research for my new book I found this book at a library book sale for $1.50. It had been withdrawn.

This book is great. It breaks down the entire invasion of the Soviet Union by Germany without the information overload of some books I've struggled through. Even so, it has detailed information about each stage of the operation. It's a good book that I can recommend to anyone who wants to understand the war in Russia.
