Looking for advice (beginer to german kit)

Hey guys,
The group im with recently decided to form a german para unit to tie in with our 82nd ariborne squad thats already up and running. So im setting down my panzer kit and going to begin gathering kit. But first off i wanted some guys to help guide me along the way.
First off i was wanting to know when the Tan and Water camo was available to the para's. Our group is trying to keep in line with the normandy theatre. But i am not sure if im stuck with the splinter pattern or if i can add a bit of diversity to my own kit.
Any and all help is really appreciated :)

John.

Can you identify this item?

Gidday all,
I have an item that i hope someone can identify. Sorry for the lack of photo quality. It appears to me to be a napkin ring? or similar.
It is approx 1 1/2" in diameter . The pencil rubbing i have made is from the markers mark on the inside.
There appears to be the letter "S" inside a six pointed star , below this the letters R.P , N.S & S.S are in rectangle boxes. Thank you for any help in advance. Best Regards Geoff.

PS. I forgot to mention that the is an inverted Boomerang symbol between the star and the rectangle boxes.

Need help! Fallschirm badge and shoulder tab ID.

I was given these items many years ago by a workmate,
from his father,I know the badge is de-nazified ( It was the only
way Australian customs would allow him to keep it on arrival
in the 1950s). It appears to have F WALTER or F WASTER with 2KP engraved very faintly on the back.Could this possibly be 2nd Kompanie?
The shoulder tab is self explanatory ,what rank is it,I think
the yellow piping denotes Fallschirm.....over to those that know.
Cheers Mike

Special Fork

Just picked this up. It's not complete, either the knife or spoon is missing, I don't know which however, I have never seen an artifact like this. In a sense, it may be unique?

Enjoy!

My Plash palatka

Gentlemen,

Please take a look at the Plash Palatka I just received.

I bought it from a canadian-finnish collector. It is stamp dated, but has leather re-inforced stake holes. It seems that some think that the leather reinforcements were only a post war addition to capes, but this one seems to prove them wrong (unless it is a fake stamp).

The cape itself seems to have been dragged through half of Europe by the owner during the 1944-45 period. It has tears, stains, multiple field repairs and a nice overall "been there" appearance. And that is why I love it.

I hope you like the photos. I would like to hear from the experts on this one.

Best regards,

Gus
