Guy's thought you'd like to have a look. Regards, Hal
PS; this helmet has an ink stamp that does not show up in the interior pic; .8.A.XIV.
Guy's came across these today; photo-map folder and blank stationery, thought you'd like to have a look. Thanks, Hal
This is a pair of SA daggers i picked up 3 days ago. They are not in excellent shape but for what was paid it is very reasonable.
The lighter colored handled is a pre-war dagger with a "Fr" Franken code made by J.R. Sauer & Sohn in very good condition with slight sheath wear to the blade.
The other dagger is RZM marked "M7/68 "Tigerwerk Lauterjung & Co., Solingen" very nice blade only sheath wear. It is missing the lower screws to hold the sheath tip but i have replacements coming.
I feel i did well. Please forgive the bad photo's.

Hello all, my name is Troy and I wanted to thank everyone who helped my baby girl out with m16 helmet she got for me! Can you believe it! I about fell on my face! WOW. You all treated her so well and your info is great! I will be on here alot, asking many questions, hope you don't mind. I'm new to this and want to start out right.
The helmet is great! still has some paint here and there, green, or maybe blue green or gray green, not sure how to describe it. will try to get some good pictures and post em. Has NJ62 stamped in the left side of where it covers your ear, also looks like a very faded name wrote in it and a line with a number over it, looks like 2 or 3 numbers but can only make out the last one, looks like a 9. don't know if all this means anything or is just from someone dinking around with it over the years. All I know is I'm proud as can be right now! Proud to own it, sooo proud of my girl, and proud to be on a site with such great people! Will get some pictures and post them for you all. Thanks so much. Troy
I didn't know where to post this however, I feel that it's fitting since D-Day is tomorrow.
I read a letter to the editor in my local newspaper this morning that really makes you think about who are today's so called heroes in baseball who our kids and yes, adults look up to and regard, for some unknown reason, as heroes.
The article went on to say: While I was watching baseball on a Sunday night the announcers told us about former players that interrupted their careers to serve in the military. I know of Ted Williams, Bob Feller, Phil Rizzoto, Hank Bauer, Gerry Coleman, Billy Martin, just to name a few.
I was thinking that since 9/11 we have been fighting two wars. So can anyone out there name one active baseball player who has the guts to join the military?
Also, how many can one name that have taken some kind of drug the improve themselves?
Our kids today can name more players that cheat than serve in the service. Remember when Joba Chamberlain got caught driving drunk and made a remark about Yogi Berra" Well, Instead of driving drunk, Yogi was invading Normandy Beach. So who are the real baseball heroes?
Hi!
I´ve got a question to this particular fighting-knife.
Dimensions:
Lenght overall: apx. 28,7 cm
Blade lenght: apx. 16,2 cm
Lenght of the hilt: apx. 12,5 cm
Lenght of scabbard: apx. 16,6 cm
crossguard: apx. 5,9 cm / 21 mm / 3,4 mm
blade: apx. 4 mm "strong", apx 2,6 cm "broad"
rel. "heavy" blade ... ,
two wooden grip-plates,
Not any markings visible ...
This knife´s serial-made for sure and not an "trench-art" !
A fellow collector spottet some of this knive´s at flea-market´s once before, (but in very poor shape and without scabbard).
In a German Gun-magazine this knife´s also shown ...
There´s believed, that this knife probably was manufactured in Romania, Czechoslovakia or Russia ...
But no evidence in case of the period of production, only the suggestion, it´s "wartime" ...
The blade´s an almost look-alike to an italian Marine diver´s-knife of 1970, (maker: Galeazzi, La Spezia), but the diameters doesn´t really match ...
Also the general impression of my knife doesn´t give´s me really the feeling, to classify it into the seventy´s ...
Does anybody of you have had seen a knife like this before ?
Thx in advance,
R.
should I buy this helmet for 50 euro
This mantel was captured by Soviet troops in Berlin and later sent to Prague. It was brought out of Prague in the late 1970's along with two gray SS officer tunics and one black SS officer's tunic.
After buying it, I discovered in an out of the way place in side the coat, a leather name tag. I later discovered a paper label under the adjustment leather tongue of the belt. The seller had never noticed either name tag! Both items belonged to Obergruppenfuhrer Hans Lammers, the top legal mind in The 3rd Reich. Later in the war, only Lammers and Borman had direct access to Hitler
