LAH Silver Cigarette Case

Hi
I like the look of this item but not having collected cigarette cases before i was wandering on its originality. i.e. is it a period cigarette case with bits added on, in this case LAH motif.
It is described on devonmilitaria.co.uk as Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler Cigarette case in excellent condition although the elasticated strap has become undone at one end. Hallmarked 935.
Any help appreciated.

Order Of The Red Banner

This is my first order of the red banner. Its looks like its a late 1950s issue but I could be wrong. What is it worth?

Any comments would be great. Thanx

Question on un-applied original heer decal

Gentlemen,

Sorry it is not about the helmet but the decal, well I guess it is still helmet related thing.

If there are original un-applied decal from Gust. Peiniger and Huber Jordan a. Koerner, I would guess it's around 60 years old, but can I still apply these decal on the helmet and will stick to helmet ?

Appreciate your feedback.

Cheers,
Minimi

M7 Priest Tank
Mobile, Reliable, Hostile

During the early days of WWII the U.S. Army was having some success moving the 105mm howitzer with half-tracks. In order to bring the big gun into even more difficult terrain, the M7 full-track tank was developed. Powered by a 350hp. Continental engine, it became the Armys principle mobile artillery system. Its pulpit like structure for the machine gun gave it the “Priest” nickname. 3490 were built. The M7s mobility and reliability overcame its two main shortcomings- the crew was exposed from the top and the two weapons had very limited side-to-side arc of fire.

WWII U.S. M3A1 Halftrack

Half-Tracks Needed at Full Speed
Although the land war in Europe was dominated by the firepower of tanks, both the U.S. and Germany used lighter half-tracks to move troops, tow weapons and provide reconnaissance. As with almost every type of vehicle in WWII, the Germans had superiority in quality and numbers to start the war, but American know-how and ingenuity overcame this advantage by mid-war.

M3A1 A successor and improvement on the M2, the M3A1 was mainly used for armored reconnaissance and troop movement. Its 6-cylinder White 160AX engine provided 147 horsepower and speeds up to 45 mph. A .50 machine gun on a ring mount, full length mine racks on both sides, and 1/4" thick armor provided protection. This Legends collection replica includes rollers, side mounted guns and a realistic muddied look.

Need help! Looking for battlefiled locations southern romania

Hi there,

I will be in southern romania on vacation this summer (Olt Area) and am looking for anyone who can point to any known locations of major battles for me to scout. The timeframe doesnt matter, but I am especially looking for locations of large scale epic battles....WWI, WWII or pre-dating this time maybe the Ottoman wars. Any help and suggestions would be kindly appreciated.
