Hi,
Would someone try and see what this is? it's Polish but I guess it is no ID, something to do with USSR...
Can one see why, where it was issued?
Thanks,
Neil.

From 1 June 2009 database to Soviet awards archive closed for public inquieries, due of a lot of inquieries about non MIA soldiers and just an historical research. The Russian Military archive in Podolsk will no longer work with societies and private persones, they stated to work only with Russian military organizations and goverment authorities. That is bad due of now all the found soldier's bodies with medals will hard to recognize. Only through the representative in Russian embassy...
Thank You, I recently acquired a large lot of ww1 and ww2 items and I am having issues finding out what these two items are or may be. If these pictures are not good enough please advise and i will take different. The Rock Island item is stamped 1916 and about 20 or so inches tall and 10 or so wide.I have no clue on what it may be, and the horse bridal..i just would like some or any general info on. Are these items rare, I can't seem to find next to anything on them?.. then again I am new to this type of research
Thanks again

Hi Guys, I thought that I had showed this knife before on the forum but it seems I have not? So here it is.
I bought this one 30 years ago for £16. The knife is an early pre RZM maker marked example. The maker, Gebr. Lutzenkirchen, Solingen is a fairly rare one. In fact, I have never seen another. I don't believe that this company ever become an RZM licenced firm after the introduction of the M7 contract code numbers?
The knife has been well used over the years. The motto can just be seen on the blade.
Cheers, Ade.
