Photo albums with Himmler´s signature found in Spain

Gentlemen,

This quite interesting news article came today in a spanish newspaper.

Hans Thomsen was the chief of the Nazi party in Spain during the Second World War. In 1945, afraid of being caught by the allies, he fled Spain, leaving two photo albums with more than 450 photos of the activities of the nazis in Spain to a friend. They include the visit that Himmler made to Spain, and his signature in one of the pages.

Here is the translated link to the article:

Translation result for http://www.elmundo.es/elmundo/2009/06/14/espana/1244944874.html

Don´t miss the video, it shows the albums and some of the photos, as well as and the signature of Himmler. In the narration, it states that Himmler came to Spain because he thought the Holy Grail was here, and wanted to snatch it.

For me, this is arguably the ultimate attic find, sadly not made by me:weep:.

Regards,

Gus

NSKK photos versus other non-NSKK photos…

Hi! I have 30 original loose NSKK photos (presumably taken by the same soldier so they're actually a grouping) that I'm being told are worth roughly $150. I find that hard to believe since I'm seeing complete photo albums selling at auction for $200 - $250 with hundreds of photos.

One gentleman told me that NSKK photos are more rare, which is why they are valued higher. Is this true? I'm attaching a few samples so you can see what I'm talking about.

Any help and insight is appreciated.

Thanks!
Dzyner
