Going to buy this no matter what. Found in a swamp near the support railwaytrack to Kiestinki, Finnish Lappland were "Nord" fought the Soviets. Will get more pics soon. The knob is in the form of a fist and only has some rot in it :).How common are these?

Here is the wooden cigarette box I got from one of our sponsors. ww-2militaria.com, they have a nice discount now.
I don't know what is exactly written on the box and who's belonged it, to the prisoner or a guards, but for me looks more that guard's item.

Hi, found this one, and would like to know opinions about paint on this helmet. Is this the original green paint from WWI? Maybe this was repainted for WW2? It looks like very old paint work.

How much in $US would a helmet like this be worth today. I was thinking of getting it maybe to go other helmets in my collection. I am not very familiar with WWI helmets and colors used, except the wild camo they used.

These are the only pics I have. There is one small hole on top of helmet. There is no liner or liner band. The 2 pointed looking devices on each side are there for chin strap, and paint looks similar to outside paint. Seller says it was found in France somewhere.

Unfortunately just after I had brought them home, and lay down for a quick nap. Someone (who shall remain nameless!) fiddled with the catch on the ribbon bar and snapped it.
Funny how something like this can survive a war and more than half a century, but be broken by a moment of inept fumbling.
