Hi all, I am new so forgive me if i am breaking protocal with this post. When I was traveling in the Soviet Union in 1991 I was given a green badge in Novgorod. It has the words Ivanovo in cyrillic on it and the dates 1941-1945. There is also a rifle figure in gold. The back says 20k. I have tried to research the history of this but have not come up with much. I know Ivanovo is a city known for its textiles and has a large military airlift base. Does anyone have a clue what this badge is or represents? there is a photo attached - sorry it is poor quality. The part you can't read is the Ivanovo cyrillic lettering.
