I was wondering about some of your thoughts on this ID? It seems to be somewhat of a low number for membership. Would I be correct in assuming this and the year of his joining seems to be early. Would this be considered a nice find? Of course, a nice find is in the eye of the beholder, but over all, some of your takes on a card such as this?

Guys,

I think this is the right place for these.

These were an ebay find around 2005.

They cost I think £60 for 24 pieces.

I bid with the expectation that they would be junk but at least good for parties etc.

The seller had the usual spliel Dad was in the RAF etc and I thought no more of it as I would not see them until after tour.

I was surprised then when I got home and there they were 24 pieces all 800 solid German silver from the local airfield just 15 mins up the road.

They are stamped O.H. Fassberg, OH is Offiziers Heim Fassberg (which still stands) and the airfield was used during the Berlin air bridge and continues as a Helecopter training area even today.

Just shows you ebay can be good sometimes:).

hiya guys cool militaria

got this today an M35 Q66 double decal relic luft lid still in good solid condition with original paint & decals although the luft eagle is all but gone you can still just about see remnants of it but still a very nice lid hope you guys like it cool militaria

p.s. hope i dident pay to much i got it for £63 :o

Hi everybody!
We were shooting film about German boxing star Max Schmeling. He was paratrooper during WW2, and was on Crete.

They dressed us in Gebirgsjaeger, and he was the only Fallschirmjaeger.:) There's a series if mistakes, failures etc. They weren't very conceivable.:) But, hey, we've had great time!!

Anyway, everything is happening in field hospital somewhere on Crete. Here are some of the pics.

Hi, I bought a whole crate of assorted vietnam and korean war uniforms at a local estate sale a little while back and they didn't know a helmet was at the bottom of the crate. Well it is a FRONT SEAM helmet, which from what i've heard is a sure sign that it is ww2. But there is a problem: Everything else about it screams "Vietnam". The unusually dark vietnam era paint, the liner was dated 67, the vietnam patern camo cover,and it has swivel bale loops. and like i said "it was in a crate with vietnam stuff."


Thoughts?

Very nice set of Luftwaffe dining utensils, look to be barely used. All dated from 1938 to 1941. Do have more pictures!
