I thought I recognized all the Reichsleiters, but here's one unknown to me. Do you know who he is? And what is that Diamond on his sleeve? I wish I could see it better. Thanks for any help.
Thought I’d lost these, but found them today. I was stationed at Warne Kaserne (former SS kaserne), an amazing site and huge facility. On weekends we’d go out pilfering. These are photos of the Alabama Kaserne which was heavily bombed in 1944. It seemed the Germans were storing many captured weapons and equipment there. I have a few things left, most of them are lost. If anyone would like to see more photos, I will be glad to post them. I posted this on the Gunboards "98K Forum" earlier.
Hello,
My dad was given these by a friend years back and when my dad passed away I got them. I just recently starting researching the history and found it quite interesting. I have found different values on some of the items but was curious to know if anyone could tell me what they may be worth together as a set.
Any information would be appreciated...Thanks
Hello....this is my first comment. So please excuse mistakes.
I just wanted to know if it isn't dangerous to search these relics from ww2. Because it could be possible that you dig up a mine or someting like that by accident. What if it explodes? Often the germans used mine fields as a defence. (I think you all know that).
Or any bombs or grenades. If you hit it with the shovel or something.
How do you know that it doesn't explode?
greetings from germany,

I found this one on the internet. Here is the sellers description:
Luftwaffe EM/NCOs Fallschirmjager/Flight Visor Cap. The cap is a size 57 and is made of blue/gray wool, with a black, ribbed mohair center band and golden-yellow wool piping. the cap features a set of die stamped alloy cap insignia. the chin strap is made of black patent leather, with two black finished metal buckles. it is held in place via two black finished metal side buttons. the visor is made of black fiber with edge trim. the cap is lined with orange/brown cotton/rayon lining, and is missing it's celluliod sweat shield. the sweat band is made of thin, cocoa brown glove leather, and shows heavy use to both the edge and at the forehead, where approx. 5" of the sweat band is missing. the cap is free from mothing, holes or tears. the visor has some moderate crazing, with the noted damage to the lining. a bargain priced cap, which displays very well. the overall condition is good+ GMA-4834
Is it original?
I've been offered this armband yesterday.
I am not sure about this one.
The stitching looks allready on the outside, and so does the swas.
But the inside stitching doesnt look a 100% to me, but i might be wrong here.
Also i think its a little to clean for its age, but then again sometimes you find a neat & crisp one.
Also the stamp i dont like...its such a common one added to make fakes look better, but im not sure.
Pls guys enlighten me on what to make of this one
Cheers

These are a few pictures of my grandfathers collection. These items he has required over the past 20 years. He had a collection of items he had collected for nearly 50 years but the entire collection burned in a fire.
I will put up more detailed pictures later. He has some very interesting items.
Please enjoy! Reagan
Hello!! Found this one here in FL. local a couple years ago. It was from an estate sale and was $130. I wanted a Pith helmet at the time, so I sold this one for $250, and bought a Pith for $150. Everything worked out, and I got what I wanted for my collection. Wanted to know what I sold here, maybe a Police helmet or??
The interior paint and liner looked orig to me, but the hand painted national symbols on both sides was unusual to me, and really do not know what it was, maybe a police helmet. The painted symbols looked very old. The outside of helmet I think was repainted also. I forget the size, but it was small. It looks like the original owner name was written liner, and the name "D. Iannone" was probably the GI who brought it back. Here are some pics.
Any opinions what, and when the "artwork" is / was done??
Regards, Steve
